1. Ensure the room has been recently well hoovered and generally cleaned with a minimum of dust and hard smoking evidence remaining. Either use a hoover with a rotating beater to remove as much of the cigarette ash and other smelly dust, or choose to wash and vacuum the carpet. Remove bedding and other washable furnishings etc.
2. Set the FUMIGATOR in the middle of the room, ideally on a table, raised above the carpet.
3. Ideally the curtains should be washed too, but if you leave them in situ draw the curtains to expose more material to the ozone.
4. Windows and entry doors should be shut, but wardrobe doors should be open, and drawers opened.

5 Turn the FUMIGATOR on and ensure the power control is on full. (turned fully clockwise)
6 Leave the room for 6 hours with the FUMIGATOR working. Though Ozone is a "safe" gas, the FUMIGATOR generates industrial strength levels of Ozone and no-one should be in the enclosed space whilst the unit is running. It is however, totally safe to pop in and out to check its operation and turn it off.
7. After 6 hours return and turn the machine off, and open the windows and vacate the room to assist the excess Ozone gas to dissipate quickly.
8 After a further 30 minutes or so, return to the room and judge how well it has worked. The optimum treatment time will depend upon the level of smoke smells within the fabric of the room. If any smells remain, repeat the treatment. If you need to use the FUMIGATOR to remove the smells of an errant overnight guest, you will probably find that you will only need to use it for an hour or so.
